MICHAEL POGREBINSKY'S ART

My passion for painting started when he resided in Washington DC in 2014. Being surrounded with gorgeous architecture, monuments and more importantly art museums, inspired him to contemplate about bringing some of this art vibe into his small studio apartment in Dupont Circle.
However as we all know it, hand-made art tends to be (unnecessarily) expensive and is unfortunately out of reach for most people who would love to bring art to their homes.
 

One day I heard about a studio https://artjamz.co, in the heart of Washington DC, where anyone can walk in, and with no prior knowledge or preparation pick up a brush and paint.

On the  next Saturday morning I walked in the studio and asked to try it out, without knowing a single thing about painting with Acrylics. An art student who worked at the studio showed be briefly how to use the brush, how to mix colors and how to apply them on the canvas. A few hours later, I completed my first painting. It wasn't something out of the ordinary, but the feeling I had after I finished my first piece of art, was as strong as the first love.

We all grow up seeing art at museums and extremely wealthy people's houses and mansions as well as fancy hotels or offices. It curves this notion in our minds that quality art is unaffordable, ivory tower luxury that we can create or bring into our everyday home.

However the presence of art in your household has tremendous value. It's the creator's feelings, emotions and mood, frozen in time on a flat canvas that you have around you, and every time your eyes land on it, you are recharged with that energy, and that energy will never cease.
